Join Your Jewish Community for #CandleLightingforOneness

Join Federation and the global Jewish community tonight for #CandleLightingforOneness. Every Friday night before sunset, Jews around the world light candles to mark the beginning of Shabbat. It is a time to disconnect from the outside world and tune into the light within us. Conceived by Lourdes Garbriela Suarez, and in partnership with local synagogues and Jewish organizations, the grassroots Candle Lighting Campaign for Oneness is an invitation to come together with a small act of goodness — a simple act of solidarity in an intimate moment of prayer. “Surrounded by the hate and vitriol running rampant on social media, these are challenging times for Jews,” said Suarez. “What the world desperately needs right now is love, light and unity.” Click here to share what this special moment means to you with the hashtag #CandleLightingforOneness and help bring more light into the world.
