Displaced Israeli Teens Attend Passover Camp

Federation is partnering with Summer Camp Israel to help young adults from displaced families in Israel’s northern and southern periphery attend a special camp in the days leading up to Passover. The Boost Camps are provided at no cost to more than 450 teens in affected areas. The experience enables them to connect with peers from their home communities, reduces stress and offers freedom and respite in an organized and safe environment, far from the daily worries of their post-October-7 reality. For three to five days, campers enjoy fun and informal gatherings focused on inclusion, pluralism and respect, while letting loose and discussing their personal situations with others experiencing similar circumstances. Supported in part through generous donations to our Federation’s Israel Emergency Fund, this is one of many ways Jewish Miami is continuing to assist Israel following the barbaric attacks of October 7.
