South Florida Elected Officials Join Together for Town Hall Briefing

Yesterday, Thursday, November 2, eight South Florida Congresspeople participated in a special Town Hall Briefing on Israel to show their solidarity with the Jewish community. Each participant strongly reiterated America’s role in supporting Israel in the war against Hamas and the release of the hostages. The program, organized by Federation’s Jewish Community Relations Council, was presented in partnership with the Jewish federations in Broward, South Palm Beach and Palm Beach, as well as ADL, the American Jewish Committee, the Consulate General of Israel in Miami, the Rabbinical Association of Greater Miami and the Broward Board of Rabbis. More than 600 people tuned in, demonstrating a powerful show of unity against the barbaric terrorist attacks and massacres carried out by Hamas. A recording of the Town Hall is available here. Elected officials included Rep. Mario Diaz-Balart (R), Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D), Rep. Frederica Wilson (D), Rep. Lois Frankel (D), Rep. Brian Mast (R), Rep. Carlos Gimenez (R), Rep. Sheila Cherfilus-McCormick (D) and Rep. Jared Moskowitz (D).
