Federation and JCRC Congratulates President-elect Biden and Vice President-elect Harris

The Greater Miami Jewish Federation and its Jewish Community Relations Council (JCRC) offer heartfelt congratulations to President-elect Joseph R. Biden, Jr. and Vice President-elect Kamala Harris on their win in this year’s presidential race. We also congratulate the new and returning elected officials who will represent the people of our Miami-Dade community in the United States Congress, the Florida Legislature and in the halls of government.

As the current election season comes to its final stages, we have cause to rejoice in the enduring strength of our American democracy. We applaud the record-breaking voter participation in this election. American citizens made their diverse voices heard and reinforced our shared belief in and commitment to the democratic process.

The Federation, through its JCRC, looks forward to working with the President-elect and his administration, as well as our state and local officials on issues of importance to our Miami-Dade community. These include among others COVID-19 crisis response, combating anti-Semitism and all forms of hate, and strengthening bipartisan support for a safe and secure Israel.

“We fervently hope that the coming years bring prosperity to our country, as we come together in common cause around the values that unite us as Americans,” says Isaac K. “Ike” Fisher, Federation Board Chair. “This election season has been particularly filled with discord. As we go forward, we will partner with our elected officials and public servants to heal the painful divisions for a better future for all. We plan to continue our strong relationships within both political parties to enrich the quality of Jewish life in Miami-Dade County, Israel and around the world.”
