Federation Helps Provide PPE at Miami Jewish Health

loan fund

With $165,000 in grants from Federation and in-kind donations from individual donors, local agencies Miami Jewish Health and Jewish Community Services of South Florida have been able to secure additional personal protective equipment (PPE) to enhance the safety and well-being of frontline healthcare workers and social workers while on the job. In the wake of the pandemic, immunocompromised and homebound community members are isolated from personal interaction, which can take a severe emotional toll. Those residing in nursing homes or independent living facilities are experiencing similar challenges. With the allocation to purchase PPE, healthcare and social workers can safely offer critical care to older adults and Holocaust Survivors. This also allows more frequent interaction and socialization opportunities. To see other ways your donation is making a difference, click here.
