One Year Later, Free Kosher Food-Drive Continues

One year after organizing our first Free Kosher Food Distribution Drive-Thru, Federation’s commitment to helping individuals and families facing food insecurity as a result of the pandemic remains a priority. For two hours yesterday, hundreds of cars lined up to receive packages of kosher chicken, fresh produce, milk, eggs, challah, dry goods and other supplies. Approximately 1,150 individuals benefited from the food distribution and will now be able to fill their fridges and pantries. Partners in the bi-monthly events include Federation’s Jewish Volunteer Center (JVC), our primary human service agency Jewish Community Services of South Florida, Repair the World Miami, Farm Share and Miami-Dade County. Additionally, we are grateful to a number of generous donors for their support, whose loyalty allows us to continue our work. Our next Kosher Food Distribution Drive-Thru will take place on Thursday, July 15 at Federation headquarters.
