February Focuses on Advocating for Inclusion of People With Disabilities

JDAIM

February is Jewish Disability Advocacy Month (JDAM) and Jewish Disability Awareness, Acceptance & Inclusion Month (JDAIM). This worldwide effort advocates for people with disabilities and mental health conditions to be active participants in Jewish life. Federation is proud to help local organizations raise disability awareness, remove barriers to opportunity and celebrate diversity in our community. This month’s activities offer a range of COVID-19-safe programming including informative panels, techniques to create an inclusive virtual seder and much more. For more information and to RSVP, click here. Additionally, Federation program Miami Jewish Abilities Alliance offers a user-friendly website — the first of its kind in Miami — linking individuals with disabilities and their families to services, support and resources year-round.
