Commemorate Kristallnacht Virtually, as Part of Holocaust Education Week

kristallnacht

Join our community for a virtual commemoration of Kristallnacht on Monday, November 9 at 7pm. Hear eyewitness testimony from Kristallnacht Survivor Herbert Karliner, pay tribute to Holocaust victims and honor the resilience of Survivors. Following the commemoration, tune in to South Florida’s public television station WPBT Channel 2 at 9 p.m. to watch Harbor From the Holocaust, which traces the story of nearly 20,000 Jewish refugees fleeing Nazi-occupied Europe to Shanghai, China. There will also be a chance to explore narratives from the Holocaust through film with a variety of movies streaming online, free of charge, Sunday, November 8 at 10 a.m.-Monday, November 9 at 4 p.m. These events are part of Holocaust Education Week, a virtual program of films, presentations and discussions taking place Monday, November 9-Friday, November 13, presented by the Holocaust Memorial Miami Beach, a Committee of Federation.
