Former Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett Welcomed by Miami Community at The Main Event

It was “One Great Night for Community” and “One Great Night for Israel” as nearly 1,000 Miamians came together to celebrate community and commitment to Israel and the Jewish people at The Main Event of the Greater Miami Jewish Federation. Chaired by Lesley Goldwasser and Jonathan Plutzik, the evening’s program was highlighted by the presentation of Federation’s 2023 Friend of Israel Humanitarian Award to prominent philanthropist Daniel Lewis and an interview with Naftali Bennett, Israel’s 13th Prime Minister. During his conversation with television journalist Tal Heinrich, the former Prime Minister candidly discussed various topics ranging from Iran’s nuclear position, the ongoing Ukraine war and the political challenges facing the people of Israel today. Event attendees raised more than $4 million for the 2023 Federation/UJA Campaign.
