Masa Israel Journey Celebrates 20 Years

Mazal tov to Masa Israel Journey, which is celebrating 20 years of bringing young Jewish people to Israel for unique, life-changing experiences. Created by Federation overseas partner agency The Jewish Agency for Israel and the Israeli government, and funded yearly through the Annual Greater Miami Jewish Federation/UJA Campaign, Masa is the largest immersive, long-term educational experience for individuals ages 16-35. Through its programs, which range from a few months to a year in Israel, Masa offers an authentic journey into Israeli society, culture, politics and history – and acts as the largest provider for global Jewry to access internships at the finest Israeli businesses, social enterprises and academic institutions. The Miami-Dade Jewish Community Study is a once-a-decade study sponsored by the Greater Miami Jewish Federation and conducted by the Cohen Center for Modern Jewish Studies at Brandeis University in partnership with NORC at the University of Chicago. Women Lead Federation

For the first time in the history of the Greater Miami Jewish Federation, two women assume the organization’s top leadership positions. Lily Serviansky will become Chair of the Board and Mojdeh Khaghan Danial will serve as General Campaign Chair, following their installation at Federation’s 86th Annual Meeting, on Thursday, May 30 at 5:30 p.m. at the Jungle Island Ballroom.
