Miami Donors and Leadership Raise Money for an Ambulance in Yerucham

When local donors, including Federation leadership, heard that our partner city of Yerucham was in dire need of a new ambulance, they happily expedited its purchase and sent it on its way to Israel. This past summer, Tzachi Ben Yishai, a member of the Miami-Yerucham Partnership Committee and Eastern Negev Regional Director for Federation partner Magen David Adom, brought Yerucham’s ambulance shortage to the attention of Roi Vaknin, Yerucham Partnership Director. Working closely with our local Magen David Adom colleagues, Federation was able to fulfill this urgent need. Coincidentally, a group of Miami families including Women’s Philanthropy President Elise Udelson, and her husband Ron, General Campaign Chair Mojdeh Khaghan Danial and her husband Robert; Suzette and Harold Diamond, Dr. Margo Brilliant and Robert Schwartz, along with the Morjain, Moskovitz, Politano, Rok and Wolfe families, were already fundraising for an ambulance, and happily agreed to send the vehicle to Yerucham. Following a meaningful dedication ceremony last week, the brand-new ambulance is expected to arrive in Yerucham by the end of the year.
