Federation Helps Make Overnight Summer Camp Accessible

Your generosity helped the Greater Miami Jewish Federation distribute more than $148,000 in Jewish overnight camp scholarships to 221 youth attending summer camps across the US that span different denominations of Judaism. We know that overnight camp is a key factor in strengthening a child’s Jewish identity, which is why we prioritize making this experience accessible for all families. Scholarships are given to families with the greatest financial need and include first-time campers; public school students for whom summer camp is their only immersive Jewish experience; children whose parent(s) are experiencing unemployment; children of recent immigrant families; and children who have parents with serious illnesses. Hundreds of families thank you for helping make this possible!
