Job Search Networking Event Scheduled for February 28

For those who are unemployed or looking to change jobs, networking can be the key to finding the right position.

On Monday, February 28, ParnossahWorks Miami will host its first networking event of the year from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. at the Greater Miami Jewish Federation, 4200 Biscayne Blvd. Job seekers will meet each other and discuss job search strategies, and can take advantage of resume-writing support.  Those planning to attend should bring copies of their resumes and be prepared to give a 30-second elevator pitch.  (For those who don’t know what an elevator pitch is, this networking event is also the place to learn its importance and how to do it.) For more information or to attend the networking event, email [email protected] or call 786.866.8495.

ParnossahWorks Miami, a partnership of the Greater Miami Jewish Federation and Jewish Community Services of South Florida, is a unique online job service that helps job-seekers gain immediate access to available job opportunities. At the same time, ParnossahWorks Miami provides employers with a way to locate qualified applicants and talent for their staffing needs. In its first 11 months of operation, ParnossahWorks Miami assisted 305 job-seekers with career counseling and resume writing, and helped more than 131 people get hired.
