Saul Schottenstein Foundation Increases Support for Individuals Facing Food Insecurity

Clients of Jewish Community Services Kosher Food Bank will have some extra assistance to help ensure their Passover celebrations can include a special touch of their choice, thanks to the ongoing generosity of the Saul Schottenstein Foundation. Prior to Pesach, individuals and families facing food insecurity in our Jewish community will receive grocery gift cards to supplement their regular food packages. This thoughtful contribution allows each person to shop for something personal for their table — whether that means ingredients for Bubbe’s special cake, a bouquet of flowers or a favorite activity for the children. This year, due to the rising cost of food and other goods, the Schottenstein family has increased their commitment and doubled the cash value of the gift cards. The grocery gift cards are also distributed in advance of July 4th, Rosh Hashanah and Chanukah and act as a reminder that the Jewish community is always there to help. Federation is grateful to the Saul Schottenstein Foundation for such a meaningful act of tzedakah.
