A Statement from the Greater Miami Jewish Federation Regarding Israel and the Kingdom of Bahrain

September 14, 2020 - The Greater Miami Jewish Federation and its Jewish Community Relations Council applaud the normalization of relations between Israel and the Kingdom of Bahrain. The two countries will exchange embassies and ambassadors and cooperate on health, business, technology, education, security and agricultural issues. The establishment of full diplomatic ties between Israel and Bahrain, on the heels of Israel’s recent Abraham Accord with the United Arab Emirates, is another welcome, groundbreaking development.

We are hopeful that this will lead to additional diplomatic agreements with other Arab nations in the near-term future and that the continued normalization of relations between Israel and its Arab neighbors will usher in an era of peace and stability in the region, including a durable, just and secure resolution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
