Thank You for Making Super Sunday Super

Super Sunday

While the pandemic has been a time of uncertainty, pain and suffering, this year has also highlighted our Jewish community’s resilience, generosity and compassion. That was truly apparent on Super Sunday, Federation’s annual phonathon, which, this year, was an incredible demonstration of collective responsibility. Nearly 300 volunteers from South Dade to Aventura and everywhere in between made telephone calls from their homes and 919 donors responded, contributing $869,000 to the Annual Federation/UJA Campaign — the largest total since 2008. The efforts of the volunteers and donors are making a difference in the lives of so many during challenging circumstances. “While we were not able to come together in person for Super Sunday, we were able to pivot to a virtual event in a meaningful and effective way,” said Elise Bonwitt, who chaired the event with her husband Gil. “We are proud to be part of a community that consistently supports those in need.” If you did not receive a call on Super Sunday, there is still time to help!
