Meet Our Speakers

Dr. Baruch Jacobs, M.D., F.A.C.S.
Certified, American Board of Plastic Surgery

Dr. Jacobs is one of Miami’s most renowned plastic surgeons with experience spanning three decades. He received his medical degree from New York University School of Medicine. He completed his General Surgery residency at Boston University Medical Center and his plastic surgery residency at the Cleveland Clinic, where he served as Chief Resident in Plastic Surgery.

In January of 1990, he launched Miami Beach Cosmetic and Plastic Surgery Center, one of the most prestigious Plastic Surgery Centers in Florida. The center has treated over 12,000 patients from all over the world, including notable celebrities. Dr. Jacobs is a member of the Adjunct Staff of the Department of Plastic Surgery at The Cleveland Clinic Foundation. He served as Chief of Plastic Surgery at Miami Heart Institute and was a member of the Miami Beach Health Advisory Committee. He has privileges at hospitals throughout Miami-Dade County, and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He is Board Certified by both the American Board of Plastic Surgery and the American Board of Surgery. Additionally, he is a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons and the Greater Miami Society of Plastic Surgeons. Dr. Jacobs has written numerous articles and has presented papers before national groups of plastic surgeons. He has been a guest on nationally televised talk shows and is frequently consulted and quoted by the media. He has been named by The New York Times as “the plastic surgeon who has been entrusted with keeping Miami Beach beautiful.”

Rabbi Ariel Yeshurun

Rabbi Ariel Yeshurun is a graduate of the Shehebar Sephardic Center and the Hebron Yeshiva Rabbinic College in Jerusalem. He completed his studies at Amiel-Strauss Institute for diaspora leadership training for rabbis. Rabbi Yeshurun received his Rabbinic Ordination studies as well as holds a Rabbinic Advocate license from the Israeli Ministry of Justice. Rabbi Yeshurun served in the IDF, has a Bachelors of Science degree, and finished the first two years of medical school. Ariel Yeshurun served as rabbi for 11 years at 'Shaarei Tsedek' Jewish Congregation in the Caribbean island of Curaçao. He is the founder of the JCLC (Jewish Community Learning Center), a Miami based adult Jewish education center. He is the secretary of the board of the Rabbinical Association of the greater Miami Jewish Federation and a member of the National Council of AIPAC. In addition he serves on the board of the Leo Martin March of the Living, and Friends of the IDF (FIDF) as well as on the advisory board of Kosher Miami (KM) and ‘Yehi Or’ (a JCS family abuse prevention and treatment program). Rabbi Yeshurun is currently the congregational rabbi of 'Skylake Synagogue' in North Miami Beach.
