OLAM Leadership

The Greater Miami Jewish Federation serves as a hub for Jewish giving, volunteerism, leadership and community engagement. One of our many roles is to help connect community members with meaningful opportunities to serve and learn.

We pride ourselves on the quality of our leaders, who are involved at every level from giving to volunteerism to evaluating current initiatives to identifying new priorities. Our lay leaders strengthen our community and ensure its vibrancy for years to come.

Looking to get involved? Please share your interests with us by filling out this online form or please contact Mimi Klimberg, Director of Leadership Development and Training at 786.866.8410 or mklimberg@gmjf.org.

Opportunities for Involvement

Leadership Development Institute
Created specifically for members of The Network, Federation's under 40 division, the Leadership Development Institute, or LDI, is an introductory, five-session leadership program that sets the stage for greater involvement in the Jewish community by furnishing participants with basic leadership skills as well as an overview of the Federation system and how it impacts Jews locally, in Israel and around the world.

OLAM: Organization for Leadership Advancement
OLAM, Federation's six-session, flagship leadership program is designed for leaders on the move, eager to invest time in honing their skills and learning about the community infrastructure. The natural, second-step after the Leadership Development Institute, this selective program is led by noted national trainers, local leaders and rabbis. It provides leadership learning through a Jewish lens as well as hands-on skills-building for action-oriented growth. Many participants go on to become key leaders in the community.

Volunteer Opportunities
There are countless reasons and opportunities to volunteer in our community. Use your talents to perform a mitzvah, learn new skills, make new friends and improve your community. Whatever you're hoping to accomplish, the Jewish Volunteer Center of the Greater Miami Jewish Federation is here to help find the opportunity that's right for you.
