Reports to: CEO, Holocaust Memorial Miami Beach

Employment Status: Full-time / Non-Exempt / Hybrid

The Holocaust Memorial is seeking a Digital Marketing and Communications Specialist to join our team. This role involves leveraging data and analytics to improve brand visibility, drive website traffic, and enhance customer engagement. The specialist will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop strategies that align with business goals, using content marketing, and social media strategies to achieve measurable results. The ideal candidate should possess a solid understanding of digital marketing trends, tools, and best practices, along with the ability to adapt to fast-changing environments. The successful candidate will be able to problem-solve and adapt quickly, as well as drive online traffic and engagement. Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Creates digital marketing for websites, emails, social media, newsletters, and blogs.
  • Create compelling marketing materials across various formats (flyers, event promotions, impact reports) and ensure brand consistency.
  • Collaborates with marketing, design, and content teams to optimize customer experience and build brand consistency.
  • Creates content strategies for digital media.
  • Uses social media to interact with clients and to build and maintain working relationships.
  • Collects search engine and web traffic analytics; reviews data for patterns and makes recommendations for optimal site exposure based on this data.
  • Forecasts trends by reviewing search engine optimization (SEO), and marketing.
  • Identifies and monitors audience’s preferences and recommends new campaign strategies.
  • Implements and optimizes analytics tools to track behavior of website visitors.
  • Maintains knowledge of developments, trends, and best practices in digital marketing.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Competencies

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or related field required.
  • At least two years of digital marketing experience required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Extensive knowledge of marketing, conversion, and online customer acquisition.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the proven ability to collaborate with web designers and programmers. 
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Extensive knowledge of website analytics tools, search engine algorithms, and ranking factors.
  • Thorough knowledge of web design and HTML.
  • Ability to optimize search engine keyword searches.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Creative Suite, and similar related software.
  • Experience or demonstrated sensitivity in working with Holocaust survivors, historically traumatized populations, or culturally diverse groups is highly preferred.

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

This is a sedentary role; Physical requirement of being able to lift 15 pounds at times. The position primarily involves working at a desk, sitting for extended periods while using a computer, phone, or other digital devices.

The Holocaust Memorial Miami Beach is a prominent landmark and the premier Holocaust education resource in Miami-Dade County. We lead in Holocaust education, offering a robust schedule of programs, including lectures and films. Our educational resources help teachers address issues of hate, racism, and antisemitism. We are currently developing a new 8,000 square foot Education Center to enhance our mission.
