Community Engagement Committee

The Community Engagement Committee is an advisory committee of the Jewish Community Relations Council (JCRC) to build bridges between the Jewish Community and diverse communities of Miami Dade County.

Committee members lend their time and their circles of influence and connections to the work of forging meaningful and active relationships with the various and robust diverse communities of Miami. Collectively, the committee brings people together, promoting and hosting programs and events in which communities join in discourse and shared activity in the spirit of mutual benefit, understanding, and community celebration. The committee is composed of community leaders with influence in and deep reaches into the various populations of Miami. The committee itself is a microcosm of the committee work, its members representing those communities.

There will be one appointed Chair from the JCRC Committee and up to 20 at-large committee members. The Chair will serve on the JCRC Committee Executive Committee and additionally serve as liaison to the Latin Affairs Committee.

Terms for committee members and Chair are one-year terms.

Meeting are held bi-monthly throughout the year with a break over the summer with an agenda composed by the Community Relations Manager and Committee Chair and run by the Chair.
