Description

Youth Renewal Fund is the philanthropic and strategic partner for Darca Schools in Israel, investing in an innovative education throughout Israel’s most under-served communities as a means of improving social mobility. Darca, Israel’s number one ranked network of schools, operates 47 high schools and learning centers, and serves over 27,000 students of diverse backgrounds, religions, and origin of birth. Darca’s methods are based on academic excellence, commitment to high achievement, an innovative approach to education and inspiring leadership. Approximately 50% of Darca students and teachers live within the most heavily war-torn areas of the country. Due to their close proximity to the Gaza border, many of our schools and students experience acute and significant challenges as the war continues in Israel — They have faced damage due to rocket-fire, as well as tragedy, and loss.
