2025 Jewish Incubator Grants
• A Wider Bridge - Queers Against Antisemitism –Queers Against Antisemitism (QAA) is a movement of queer activists committed to fighting global antisemitism. Focused on engagement and advocacy, QAA aims to create a safe space for Miami's queer Jewish community, fostering activists to address antisemitism locally within the queer community.
• Areyvut AJELC Corp - Judaics at Areyvut - Areyvut is launching a free Judaics program for South Florida Jewish families with children ages 4-10, specifically catering to diverse homeschooling families. The program emphasizes parental involvement and collaboration, fostering a supportive environment that encourages family input and new initiatives to meet each child’s educational needs positively.
• Community Closet INC - Community Closet - The Closet recently moved to a new location, allowing it to expand services and volunteer opportunities. With a walk-in pantry and fridge, it now serves as a hub for a monthly “pick-up program” in partnership with the Jewish Volunteer Center, where volunteers collect and distribute essential items. The Closet serves clients in need, including those from the Jewish community and refugees, and provides a vital social outlet for volunteers, many of whom face social isolation. It also collaborates with The Food Bank to support those seeking refuge in Miami.
• ICU Baby - NICU Parent Mentor Volunteer Program -The NICU Parent Mentor Volunteer Program supports families with critically ill or premature babies by providing social and health services in the NICU. Run by volunteers who have personal NICU experience, mentors offer 2-6 hours per week to assist families, providing compassionate guidance based on their own experiences.
• Jewish Fertility Foundation - JFF-Miami - The JFF-Miami office will engage the local Jewish community to address infertility through financial support, emotional support, and educational programming. Targeting individuals aged 24-44, including unaffiliated, Reconstructionist, Reform, Conservative, Orthodox, Chabad, LGBTQ+ Jews, and interfaith couples, JFF aims to reduce isolation, stigma, and barriers to fertility access. JFF also involves members of this target group on its National and local Advisory Boards and invites infertility veterans to volunteer and speak at events, training them as “fertility buddies.” JFF-Miami will implement these practices in Greater Miami.
• Michael-Ann Russell Jewish Community Center - Project MAGEN – Shield of Knowledge - "MAGEN empowers youth to advocate for Israel and combat antisemitism through an engaging online platform with curated videos and financial incentives.
• Ohel Children’s Home and Family Services - Communities Confronting Substance Use & Addiction - CCSA addresses substance use and addiction within Jewish day schools by providing evidence-based educational programs for students in grades 6-12. These programs, developed with prevention experts, combine personal stories from the Jewish community with factual information about substance use. CCSA’s initiative includes seven tailored student programs, as well as workshops for parents and faculty to foster open dialogue, reduce stigma, and promote awareness. Feedback from students and faculty guides program improvements, aiming to empower families and create supportive environments for addressing substance-related issues.
• Repair the Sea - Tikkun HaYam - Tikkun HaYam Miami Expansion - The program provides educational and hands-on experiences throughout Greater Miami and Key Largo to raise awareness of marine environmental threats, integrating a Jewish perspective. It is adaptable for all age groups, reaching middle and high school students, college students, young adults, middle-aged individuals, and seniors.
• SAMi Sephardic American Mizrahi Initiative - Pre-Mimouna Celebration - The SAMi program will engage marginalized college students in Miami-Dade, including Sephardi, Mizrahi, Spanish-speaking, Israeli, and Jews of Color. In April 2025, SAMi will celebrate Mimouna with events at FIU and UM, partnering with Hillel and Chabad. These gatherings aim to connect 100-150 students through shared cultural traditions.
• Sharsheret: the Jewish Breast and Ovarian Cancer Community - Wellness Workshops for Jewish Cancer Thrivers - Sharsheret's Wellness Workshops will offer virtual sessions for cancer thrivers and caregivers, combining therapeutic arts, Jewish spirituality, and mental health practices. These programs support diverse individuals, both Jewish and non-Jewish, addressing emotional and spiritual needs. Positive participant feedback emphasizes the strong sense of community and connection these workshops foster.
• the center dba welcome Moshiach - the center - By creating a Brotherhood & Sisterhood that shows genuine love and acceptance for who they are, hundreds of Jewish youth have built deep connections with each other and our Creator, and themselves. They have transformed from surviving to thriving. what we do is provide a place of growth for young men and women in 2 separte locations to assist with the transition from adolescence to adulthood.
• The Last Ones - The Last Ones: Gen Z Holocaust Education Campaign - The project aims to launch a targeted social media campaign for Gen Z, using influencers to engage this diverse, digitally-native generation. It also seeks to document the oral histories of the last Holocaust survivors in Miami-Dade County, preserving their experiences for future generations. Gen Z, born between 1997-2012, reflects the changing racial and ethnic landscape in the U.S., with 52% identifying as non-Hispanic white, and significant representation from Hispanic, Black, Asian, and multiracial groups.
• The Riviera Parliament Inc - Nitzanim Seeds of Connections: Bridging Jewish and Israeli Cultures for our Children - The Nitzanim Program immerses children ages 4-8, especially from newly settled Israeli-American families in North Dade, in Israeli culture, Jewish traditions, and the Hebrew language. Held at the Michael-Ann Russell Jewish Community Center alongside the Israeli Scouts, it fosters a sense of community and belonging while building a foundation for ongoing Jewish and Israeli cultural education. Though open to non-Hebrew speakers, the primary focus is on strengthening cultural connections for Israeli-American families.
• Yotzer Ohr Inc. - Yotzer Ohr Extracurricular/Electives Programs - Yotzer Ohr’s program for Orthodox teenage girls (ages 13-18) blends arts and Torah, offering activities like improv, dance, theater, film, and visual arts, supported by personal mentoring and an on-staff therapist. Weekly assemblies promote team-building, spiritual, artistic, and emotional growth. The program incorporates student feedback and input to tailor activities to their interests, ensuring a relevant, inclusive environment that fosters creativity and holistic development through a Torah lens.
