Simone Knego

Simone Knego was the 2018-2019 Co-Chair of the Jewish Federations of North America’s National Young Leadership Cabinet. National Young Leadership Cabinet - the premier leadership development program of The Jewish Federations of North America - educates and connects the next generation of global Jewish leaders and philanthropists. Simone has served as a board member of the Sarasota-Manatee Jewish Federation for the last six years and she was the 2016 Doris Loevner Memorial Young Leadership Award winner.

Simone began her career as an accountant in 1995 working in Tyler, Texas. She moved to Sarasota, Florida in 2000 and went back to school to become a teacher. Simone worked as an Elementary and Exceptional Student Education teacher for three years until she founded a medical device distributorship where she is currently the owner and manager. Simone holds both a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and a Master of Accounting from the University of Florida and is a Certified Public Accountant.

In 2015, she climbed Mt. Kilimanjaro to raise funds and awareness for the Livestrong Foundation. She has traveled on several philanthropic, international missions, including medical missions with her husband Rob, who is a Neurosurgeon. They have been married for 26 years and have six children. In her free time, she is writing her first book.
