Supporting Returning October 7 Hostages and Their Families

As the freed hostages settle back into life at home and begin their long road to recovery, Federation is providing critical assistance to released individuals and their families through the Fund for Victims of Terror (FVOT). For those kidnapped and held hostage under deplorable conditions that severely damaged their physical and emotional health, the needs are far-reaching. To heal what the FVOT Chair has called “injuries to bodies, souls and homes,” Federation is helping with thousands of dollars in vital, individualized medical assistance, psychological counseling and case management for returnees and their parents, siblings and children on the long and complex road to rehabilitation. In addition, holiday programs, workshops, retreats, summer camps and respite days lift wounded spirits and enable victims to share experiences.
