Federation Is Helping Victims of Surfside Collapse

The tragedy in Surfside has shown the heartfelt generosity and compassion of our community. Thanks to the support of nearly 8,000 donors, the Greater Miami Jewish Federation has been able to offer immediate critical help. Working alongside our partner agency Jewish Community Services of South Florida, we have provided financial assistance totaling more than $375,000 to more than 130 individuals and families affected by the collapse. The survivors have lost everything and gift cards, along with emergency grants via direct deposit, allows those in need to replace necessities such as clothes, cell phones and personal essentials with dignity. If you have not yet made a donation to the Emergency Fund for the Surfside Building Collapse and would like to do so, please click here.
