American Associates Ben-Gurion University of the Negev

20283 State Road 7 Suite 300 Boca Raton, Florida 33498

The University of the Negev, established in 1969, was renamed upon the death of David Ben-Gurion in 1973. BGU embodies the spirit of Israel's great statesman, as well as his vision: "...to make the desert bloom." The mission of Ben-Gurion University is to be the primary intellectual, cultural and industrial force for developing the Negev, to pave the way to positive transformation of arid desert into a productive, increasingly livable environment and to share this knowledge with the other nations of the region and the world.
