Dear _______,
As we face the challenges of historic inflation and rising antisemitic violence across the world, our brothers and sisters in Ukraine continue to face unimaginable danger. Through your donation to the Annual Greater Miami Jewish Federation/UJA Campaign, our overseas partners have provided aid to 500,000 people affected by the war and in the past year, have helped more than 65,000 Ukrainians and Russians make aliyah to Israel.
While all eyes are on Ukraine, Federation continues to support a variety of critical needs in Miami and Israel.
We are continuing with our monthly Free Kosher Food Distribution Drive-Thrus. To date, we have organized more than 40, helping 58,000 people put food on their table.
Our Office of Community Security works with 160 Jewish institutions to help protect them from antisemitism. As the cost of living skyrockets and the needs of those less fortunate increase dramatically, Federation provides interest-free loans and grants; year-round funding for social welfare services; and home healthcare for the elderly, including hundreds of Holocaust Survivors.
THIS IS EXACTLY WHY FEDERATION EXISTS
Our holy work on behalf of the Jewish community relies on you.
Your last gift was $ ______. Would you consider making a donation today to the 2023 campaign? You can make a direct payment at jewishmiami.org/super23.
Thank you.
PS: If you or someone you know is in need of help, you can call the Jewish community’s 24-hour helpline at 305.576.6550. It’s totally confidential and someone there will be able to address your specific needs.
After more than four decades with the Greater Miami Jewish Federation, President & CEO Jacob Solomon has announced his plans to retire, effective June 30, 2024, according to the 85-year-old, Miami-based Jewish nonprofit.
What began as a program where third-grade educators from three Miami Jewish day schools received robotics training and mentoring from Science Center professionals in Miami’s partnership city of Yerucham, Israel, has flourished into an annual activity involving 13 local schools for the 2023-2024 year.
The Mission of the Greater Miami Jewish Federation is to mobilize human and financial resources to care for those in need, strengthen Jewish life and advance the unity, values and shared purpose of the Jewish people in Miami, in Israel and around the world.
