The Greater Miami Jewish Federation seeks a dynamic and detail-oriented Community Connectors Program Coordinator to support an innovative relational engagement initiative. This program fosters authentic Jewish connections across diverse populations in Miami. The Coordinator plays a key role in guiding the success of Community Connectors and trained lay leaders who build grassroots relationships and introduce individuals to meaningful Jewish experiences, Federation programs, and leadership pathways.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Serve as the day-to-day coordinator of the Community Connectors Program, ensuring alignment with the Federation’s mission and strategic goals.
  • Support the recruitment, onboarding, and ongoing training of Community Connectors.
  • Collaborate with internal departments and external partners to coordinate engagement efforts.
  • Serve as the primary staff liaison to the Connector cohort.
  • Plan and facilitate supervision, community-of-practice sessions, and coaching conversations.
  • Track Connector progress and outcomes with key program metrics and engagement goals.
  • Help develop Connector engagement strategies across demographic and affinity groups (e.g., 50+, empty nesters, families with young children, LGBTQ+, Israeli-American, Latin American, etc.).
  • Assist Connectors in planning grassroots gatherings and relational outreach opportunities.
  • Support warm handoffs from Connectors to Federation programs, volunteer opportunities, and partner organizations.
  • Track engagement metrics and program outcomes.
  • Collect and organize qualitative stories and feedback from Connectors and participants.
  • Collaborate on program evaluation and reporting to stakeholders and funders.
  • Publicize Connector events and share stories of community impact.
  • Create content for newsletters, social media, and program updates as needed.
  • Manage stipends, reimbursements, and budgets for Connector activities.
  • Maintain accurate records, calendars, and documentation.
  • Assist with grant proposals, reports, and donor stewardship related to the program.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree required; degree in Jewish Studies, Social Work, Education, Nonprofit Management, or a related field preferred.
  • 2–4 years of experience in Jewish communal work, program coordination, grassroots engagement, or community organizing.
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills; ability to manage relationships with warmth and professionalism.
  • Comfort with data systems and CRM platforms.
  • Knowledge of and connection to the Miami Jewish community is strongly preferred.
  • Creative and flexible, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Passion for building an inclusive Jewish community.

Compensation & Benefits

The Salary range: $50,000–$60,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Physical Requirements

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

This is a sedentary role; Physical requirement of being able to lift 15 pounds at times. The position primarily involves working at a desk, sitting for extended periods while using a computer, phone, or other digital devices.
