Project 24

Project 24 was born a few short days following the October 7th tragedy with the goal of assisting individuals and communities affected by the events of that horrific day. The initiative supports those impacted by the attack and its aftermath by creating projects that provide unique solutions to the emerging needs. These projects are carried out in collaboration with US Jewish communities that are eager to participate in the processes of healing and rebuilding Israeli society. The projects foster genuine connections between Jews on both sides of the ocean, harnessing the strengths and capabilities of all involved and generating mutual healing, resilience and growth. Join us in making a difference, one meaningful project at a time.

Project 24 Thanks4Giving Mega-Mission

This November, for the first time since this war began, Israeli civilian kibbutz emergency units will receive the honor and show of gratitude they deserve for their courageous acts to defend Israel on that awful day. Given the ongoing crisis and tremendous difficulties in Israel, there has not been an opportunity to acknowledge the enormous impact these volunteers had on the events of October 7th.

These civilian kibbutz emergency unit members and their families will travel to the US for a week of togetherness with Jewish communities. Your support will allow us to thank them for their bravery and sacrifice and come together to honor those still alive, those no longer with us and their families for all they did. We want them, and especially their wives and children whom they left alone in safe rooms on that dark Saturday, to know and understand that their father is a superhero who saved thousands of people.

Thanks4Giving is not just about the heroes who fought Hamas on October 7th. It is about supporting the mental health recovery and healing of their children. There are countless stories of traumatized children who are going through very hard times and are also displaced from their homes in kibbutzim in the Gaza Envelope. Their nightmares don’t go away and they harbor deep fear since that horrendous day that it can happen again. We hope that by honoring their fathers for their bravery and courage, we can assist in the children’s path to healing from feelings of abandonment and anger towards their aba (father) who was faced with the unbearable plight of going out to fight for his community and his country, while leaving his children alone in the safe room.

These families will learn that they have an extended Jewish family in the US that loves them and cares for them deeply.
