Charles Lowenhaupt

Charles A. Lowenhaupt will be the featured speaker at the PAC Spring Seminar on May 8, 2012. He is the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Lowenhaupt Global Advisors.

He is a recognized industry leader in managing wealth for ultra-high-net-worth families around the world. He is also Managing Member of Lowenhaupt Global Advisor’s affiliated firm, Lowenhaupt & Chasnoff, LLC – established by Lowenhaupt’s grandfather in 1908, it was the first U.S. law firm to concentrate in tax law. Lowenhaupt is a Founding Advisory Faculty member of the Institute for Private Investors, and he advises the Institute as an Emeritus Member and contributor to its programs.

He is also a co-founder and President of the Institute for Wealth Management Standards, a former Director of the Foundation for Fiduciary Studies in Pittsburgh, a Director of the St. Louis Art Museum and a Director of the Clements Library of the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. Lowenhaupt also serves as President of Temple Emanuel in St. Louis.

He has a Bachelor of Arts degree (cum laude) from Harvard University. He also has a Juris Doctorate (Order of the Coif) from the University of Michigan Law School. He is a member of the Bar of New York and Missouri. Lowenhaupt is co-author with Don Trone of the book, Freedom From Wealth, published in 2011 by McGraw-Hill. In 2011, Private Asset Management magazine named Lowenhaupt one of the most 25 influential people in wealth management and family office services.
