Erik Rutter

Erik Rutter serves as a managing partner of Oak Row Equities. He has over 15 years of experience in real estate ownership, development, capital raising, finance, and asset management. Mr. Rutter has been involved in over $5B of real estate transactions, acquisitions, special situations, and financings. Prior to founding ORE, Mr. Rutter worked at Tishman Speyer, where he worked in the NY acquisitions, the Brazil portfolio management, and the NY asset management groups. Notably, he oversaw the redevelopment efforts at Rockefeller Center. Beyond his professional commitments, Mr. Rutter currently sits on the NextGen board of Next Autism, where he previously served the Chairman of. Mr. Rutter previously sat on the Wynwood Design Review Committee (WDRC), which ensured that new developments in Wynwood are compatible with the cultural and architectural character of the Wynwood Arts District. Mr. Rutter is a graduate of Georgetown University, holding a B.A. degree in English and History. He resides with his wife and daughter in both Miami and New York City.

Beyond his role at Lion Development Group, Mr. Simkins is a key player at E11EVEN Partners, the visionary team behind the renowned E11EVEN Miami brand, which includes a nightclub, hotel, residences, vodka line, and audio equipment. His strategic insight has propelled the brand beyond hospitality, cementing its status as a premier lifestyle brand. 
 
The Simkins family, with deep roots in South Florida, is celebrated for its contributions to community-focused projects that foster sustainable economic growth and bring international visibility to the region. Mr. Simkins himself is active in various philanthropic efforts, including those dedicated to juvenile diabetes research—a cause especially meaningful to his family. He also serves on the boards of the Miami Jewish Federation, Miami Beach JCC, Endeavor Miami, and the Young Presidents’ Organization (YPO).
