Injured IDF Veterans Find Mentors and Mutual Understanding

Israel is a nation of soldiers and veterans and through our work with Brothers for Life (BFL), Federation is committed to ensuring that every hero who sacrificed for our spiritual homeland receives the care, community and lifelong support they deserve. Created in 2006 following the Second Lebanon War by a group of injured IDF veterans, the organization provides physical, mental and financial assistance by matching previously injured combat soldiers with newly injured combat soldiers, creating a critical circle of care built on mutual understanding. Last week, Miami welcomed a delegation of 12 injured soldiers for a meaningful week of connection, activities and engagement. These important trips allow them to discover new possibilities for their future and return home with a renewed sense of purpose and optimism.
