With almost 30,000 students, more than 100 departments and 5,000 ongoing research projects, Tel Aviv University is Israel's largest and most comprehensive center of higher learning and the largest Jewish university in the world. American Friends of Tel Aviv University (AFTAU) serves as a link between American and Israeli scholars, government officials and community leaders. AFTAU hosts a variety of lectures, seminars, conferences and other educational and cultural events to encourage increased dialogue between the people of the United States and Israel.
