Jacobson Sinai Academy Introduces Innovative, Dynamic Programs

North Miami Beach, September 21, 2012:

Students in the Upper School at Jacobson Sinai Academy are relishing their new curriculum. To enhance the already superior core academics, the school has introduced five exploratory classes. Robotics, Drama, Speech & Debate, Newspaper, and Digital Photography are now available for students in grades 6 – 8. Every student will have a chance to experience each exploratory (with the exception of Newspaper reserved for eighth grade). Principal Ari Haddad says, “These classes are not only fun and educational learning experiences, they are a great way to have our students interact socially in an entirely new way.”

Further, the Upper School, in conjunction with JCS, is conducting a 7 Week Social Bridge Building Class that is tailored to the 7th grade students. This class will deal with such issues as cliques, bullying, empathy, cyber bullying, bridge building, and creating a Jewish environment of love and respect for one another.

Finally, in an effort to strengthen ties with the greater community, JSA middle schoolers are partnering with the Jewish Federation and five Jewish Day Schools in Dade County to create a Mini Mission. This will allow JSA students a chance to both learn about and participate in the many local Jewish charities that the Federation is actively supporting. Two student ambassadors will be selected from every school, and they we will be part of the Greater Miami Jewish Community’s Super Sunday.
