On August 27, Scheck Hillel Community School’s 2014 College Book Award program honored 15 seniors who excel both in the classroom and in our community. These prestigious awards are an impressive addition to a student's resume and have become a Scheck Hillel tradition in celebrating our students' accomplishments.
This annual program is sponsored by national alumni groups of participating colleges and universities to stimulate application interest among our student body. Two colleges offered merit-based scholarships along with their awards: Lior Barhai qualifies for an engineering scholarship of $60,000 from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and Mosey Israel qualifies for a $4,000 scholarship from St. Lawrence University. For a glimpse into this morning's event, view our album here and see the list of honorees below. Mazal tov to the 2014 recipients!
