Lisette Beraja

Lisette Beraja, LMFT, is a licensed marriage and family therapist with over 25 years of experience working with couples, families contemplating a divorce or peacefully divorcing in a non-litigious manner. She is certified as a Florida Supreme Court Family Mediator and a Parenting Coordinator for the 11th Judicial Courts. Beraja received her undergraduate degree in Psychology from Florida International University in 1991 and her master’s degree in Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy from Carlos Albizu University in 1999. She is the President of Beraja Counseling Center and an active member of Kidside Miami, where she serves on the Board of Directors. Appointed numerous times by the Family Court of the Eleventh Judicial Circuit as guardian ad litem for relocation, paternity and divorce issues, she has also served on the Board of Directors for the Florida Association of Family and Conciliation Courts. She is a member of the American Association for Marriage and Family. Over the past few years, she has authored over 80 articles for local publications on the topics of family dynamics, children, marriage and divorce. As a Mental Health Professional, Beraja has been able to help numerous couples and families reach agreements and facilitate better ways to co-parent for the best interest of their children. Beraja is fluent in Spanish and English.
