Mike Capote and Steven Blickensderfer

Mike Capote

Mike Capote is a Partner of ProPrivatus, a cyber-security, data privacy and IT assurance services firm. He has more than 15 years of experience in designing and implementing strategic information technology systems.

Mike is former Global Privacy Officer of Burger King Corporation and former Regional Chief Information Officer for Brightstar Corporation, a large, specialized wireless distributor.

He is recognized as a Workday Certified Project Manager, a Certified Fraud Examiner by the Association of Fraud Examiners and a Certified Information Privacy Professional by the International Association of Privacy Professionals. He earned a master’s degree in criminal justice from Florida State University (FSU), a master’s degree in public administration from Florida International University and a Ph.D. in public administration from FSU.

Steven Blickensderfer

Steven Blickensderfer is a technology lawyer with complex commercial litigation experience at Carlton Fields. He handles a variety of civil litigation matters in federal and state court across a number of industries.

Steven is particularly passionate about helping clients with data privacy and cybersecurity matters. As a Certified Information Privacy Professional, accredited by the International Association of Privacy Professionals, he counsels clients in areas relating to data privacy and cybersecurity.

Steven also co-chairs the firm’s Esports and Electronic Gaming Practice. He counsels game developers, investment companies, esports teams, content creators, event facilitators, industry organizations and intellectual property holders on legal matters in this fast-paced and emerging area.

Steven earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of South Florida and his law degree from the University of Florida, graduating cum laude.

For the first time in the history of the Greater Miami Jewish Federation, two women assume the organization’s top leadership positions. Lily Serviansky will become Chair of the Board and Mojdeh Khaghan Danial will serve as General Campaign Chair, following their installation at Federation’s 86th Annual Meeting, on Thursday, May 30 at 5:30 p.m. at the Jungle Island Ballroom.
