Leah Stern

Leah Stern is an international television news correspondent, anchor and editor who spent the past two years as a liaison between the Israeli government and the Vatican. In this capacity, she produced content for the Israeli Foreign Media website and social networking outlets, including co-productions with Vatican TV.

Stern previously was a reporter for IBA News in Jerusalem, Israel’s only English-language news program. She also has directed, produced and taped news features in Israel for CNN’s World Report.

A seasoned war correspondent, Stern was imbedded with the Israel Defense Forces during the disengagement from Gaza, and broadcast live war reports during the second Lebanon War. She provided inside coverage of Pope John Paul II’s funeral in Rome and documented a two-day journey in Ethiopia with the Falash Mura, descendants of Beta Israel who were forced to convert to Christianity in the 19th Century.

Stern currently resides in Miami, and is an editorial contributor to various publications, including The Miami Herald, Detroit Jewish News, Jewlicious.com, The Jerusalem Post and Times of Israel.
