Eric S. Kane, Esq.

Eric S. Kane, Esq.

Eric S. Kane, Esq. has been practicing law for more than 20 years and has represented more than 1,000 clients in the areas of estate planning, probate and trust administration and charitable planning. Kane has handled probate matters throughout Florida. A highly skilled attorney, he has been recognized by several organizations including Super Lawyers and Avvo as a top-rated attorney in his field.
 
Kane has been an advocate for various charitable causes and has been twice recognized by the American Cancer Society as their National Professional Advisor of the Year. In 2018, the University of Miami Alumni Association honored him for his philanthropic work with the University of Miami Planned Giving Board.
 
Kane frequently lectures on the topics of estate planning, probate administration and healthcare-related matters. He has served as a faculty presenter at the Florida Society for Post-Acute and Long-Term Care Medicine annual conferences and the National Association of Directors of Nursing Administration in Long Term Care national conference, lecturing on the legal and ethical implications involving the use of Advanced Directives.
 
Kane currently serves on the following philanthropic boards: Greater Miami Jewish Federation Foundation (Professional Advisory Committee Chairperson); American Cancer Society Nationwide Gift Planning Advisory Council (Member and Past Chairperson).University of Miami Planned Giving Board (Member).
 
Kane is a graduate of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel Florida Fellows Institute and graduated cum laude with a JD and LLM from the University of Miami School of Law. He received his BA in Government and Latin American Studies cum laude from Franklin and Marshall College.

Scott Weingarden

Scott Weingarden

With a steady and calm approach, Scott helps clients navigate the markets as a Certified Financial Planner™ professional and Certified Investment Management Analyst®. He is naturally curious and enjoys gathering knowledge about the markets and learning more about who clients are, which helps in designing custom financial plans. Scott’s designations are very relationship-driven, which adds an extra element of value to building client relationships and helps to enhance his process.
 
Since 1997, Scott has been an investment manager for The Starner Group of Raymond James, where he focuses on investment planning, investment strategy design and maintenance, and portfolio manager research. He carefully crafts strategies around a client’s goals and risk tolerance, fine-tuning them as circumstances change and new goals come into view. Scott believes clients can appreciate his ability to summarize market information into entertaining and informative insights – it tends to help keep their portfolios on track over the long term.
 
Scott launched his career in finance after earning a political science degree at the University of Michigan and a law degree from the University of Miami, which is not the typical path. It offers him a distinct perspective on wealth management.
 
He has been married for 20-plus years to his wife, Melissa. They are the proud parents of two sons, Dylan and Jesse, who are studying at the University of Michigan and making them proud. They cheer on the Wolverines as a family. Scott also enjoys golfing, especially when he’s out on the course with his sons and his clients.

Andrew Wolf

Andrew Wolf

Andrew Wolf, an independent life insurance professional with over 40 years of experience in Miami, has been appointed as the new Board Chair of Alper JCC Miami. Wolf brings a wealth of leadership and community service experience to his new role, having served in various capacities with the Greater Miami Jewish Federation (GMJF) and Nicklaus Children’s Hospital, among others.

As an active fundraiser and advocate for charitable causes, Wolf currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Greater Miami Jewish Federation and its Foundation Board of Trustees. He also chairs the Pledge Redemption Committee. His commitment to community service is further exemplified by his roles on the Temple Beth Am Board and Nicklaus Children’s Hospital Ambassador’s Legacy Council for Planned Giving.

Prior to his appointment as Board Chair of Alper JCC Miami, Wolf held leadership positions with the Greater Miami Jewish Federation, including Chair of the National Agencies Committee, Chair of the South Dade Branch Board and Co-Chair of the Jewish Incubator Grants Committee. Additionally, he was the Development Chair of the JCC, where he built a department from the
ground up.

As integral members of the JCC community, Wolf and his family actively participate in various community events and programs. Their shared commitment to Jewish values and community service is reflected in their active participation and leadership roles. Their three sons, Matthew, Gregory, and Steven grew up on the Alper JCC campus and are proud veterans of almost every program affiliated with their community. The Wolf family’s dedication to the Alper JCC Miami has strengthened the fabric of the community, making it a vibrant and welcoming place for all.

“Andrew’s extensive experience in the nonprofit and Jewish communities, coupled with his proven leadership skills, will make him an invaluable asset to the Alper JCC Miami Board. We’re thrilled to welcome him aboard,” said current Alper JCC Miami Board Chair Brad Sokol.

Wolf is a graduate of the University of Miami, holding a BA in Communications specializing in Journalism and Public Relations. He resides in South Dade with his wife, Cheryl, a banker and fellow member of the GMJF South Dade Board.
