Understanding Severe Autism

Autism

What is it like to live with severe autism? What does it mean to care for those individuals who need help with daily living? On Thursday, April 22 at 7:30 p.m. join the Miami Jewish Abilities Alliance to hear from experts in the field, Dr. Michael Alessandri, Executive Director of University of Miami-Nova Southeastern University Center for Autism and Related Disabilities and Amy S.F. Lutz, author of We Walk: Life With Severe Autism and the mother of a son with severe autism as they challenge commonly held ideas that define autism either as a disease or as neurodiversity.
