Federation Releases Jewish Miami: A 2024 Community Study

The Jewish community of Miami-Dade County is vibrant, growing, engaged and diverse, according to Jewish Miami: A 2024 Community Study, released this week by the Greater Miami Jewish Federation. The data reveals that Jewish Miami households have grown by 25% in the last 10 years. Federation Officer and 2024 Community Study Chair Robert C. Gilbert, who grew up in Miami, said, “Our newcomers bring many great things to our community, including new ideas that can benefit us all.” Miami stands out among Jewish communities in the US in a number of ways. Highlights include:

• 41% of K-12 Jewish students attend Jewish day school, nearly quadruple the 11% national average

• 71% of Miami Jewish adults have traveled to Israel, significantly higher than the 45% national average

• 97% of Jewish Miami’s adults feel a sense of belonging to the Jewish people, with 95% of them engaging in some Israel-related activity following October 7
