Posted by Nancy Garcia on 03/30/2026 @ 04:53 PM
Monday, April 13, 2026 at 6 pm | Free of Charge
Bet Shira: 7500 SW 120th Street, Miami, FL 33156
Join us for an exclusive Yom Hashoah screening of Through Children’s Eyes, a powerful documentary concert that brings to life the poetry and artwork created by children imprisoned in the Terezin concentration camp. Set to an original musical score and filmed in the historic attic theatre and throughout the grounds of the former camp, this film is a moving tribute to the resilience, creativity, and spirit of young lives lost too soon.
Following the screening, award-winning composer David Shukiar will lead a discussion exploring the remarkable journey behind this project. From the path that brought him to Terezin, to the unexpected moments that made this film possible, and the deeply personal process of transforming children’s words and drawings into music, this conversation offers a rare and meaningful look inside a work rooted in remembrance, reverence, and hope.
