HMMB Seeks Audio or Video of Survivors Singing Childhood Songs

Submit by Monday, September 1

The Holocaust Memorial Miami Beach is seeking audio or video recordings of Holocaust Survivors singing songs from their childhood: As part of the development of our new Education Center, we are partnering with a creative team to create a special audioscape — a sound composition that honors and reflects the vibrant cultural and spiritual life of Jewish communities in Europe before the Holocaust.

To bring this experience to life, we’re looking for recordings from Survivor family members of songs remembered from the past. These may include religious melodies, lullabies, folk tunes or other songs from childhood or community life. If you or someone you know has such recordings, we would be honored to consider them for inclusion.

We kindly request that files be submitted in MP3 or MP4 format (audio or video) and sent to [email protected] by September 1, with the Subject Line: HMMB Audioscape.
