Midtown's Maor Gallery hosts SukkahART Festival: Family Fun Day, Art Opening and More

Visit Miami's first contemporary art Sukkah at Maor's Sukkah Events October 12-18 Maor Gallery (3030 NE 2nd Ave, Miami)
MIAMI – Harnessing the energy of the vibrant arts communities surrounding Maor’s 2nd Avenue location near Midtown Miami, Wynwood and the Design District, Maor will host two community dinners, a “Family Fun Day” with art and music for children, and a fine art opening during the SukkahART Festival. No Jewish organization in Miami fuses tradition and artistic expression like Maor Miami. The festival will culminate with the opening of a contemporary exhibition of new sculptural and performance works from four emerging artists, titled Four Species. Wed. 10/12, 7:30 pm – SukkahART Community Dinner A festive holiday dinner in Maor’s sukkah, open to all members of the community. View a preview of Four Species, an exhibit of new works from four emerging artists in reference to Sukkot. Please RSVP. Covert $26, Student $18, Sponsor $72.
Thurs. 10/13, 8 pm-10 pm – SukkahART Young Professionals Dinner A festive holiday dinner in Maor’s SukkahART. This event is co-sponsored by Birthright Israel NEXT and open to all young professionals. View a preview of Four Species, an exhibit of new works from four emerging artists in reference to Sukkot. Please RSVP. Covert $26, Student $18, Sponsor $72.
Sun. 10/16, 2 pm-4 pm – SukkahART Family Fun Day Children will create their very own “green” sukkah, created with recycled materials at this festive family art experience. Activities will be led by Jewish educator and Tel Aviv Art Academy graduate, Vered Pasternak. Snacks will be provided. Please RSVP. Cost is $5 per child.
Tues. 10/18, 7 pm -9 pm – “Four Species” Exhibition Opening Four Species is a contemporary group show curated by Jon Feinstein (co-founder and Curatorial Director of the Humble Arts Foundation, NY) and Shana Beth Mason (Miami-based art consultant and critic) that will incorporate new works from four emerging artists in reference to Sukkot. Free and open to the public. The exhibition will feature two sculptural works, a live performance and a wall of the sukkah creatively re-imagined.
