Building Bridges with Israel

You don’t always have to travel thousands of miles to experience the wonders of our homeland. Through Federation’s partnerships and community programs, we bring Israel to Miami so you can connect with the Jewish state.

  • Community Shaliach (Emissary)
Headquartered at the Michael-Ann Russell Jewish Community Center and supported by Federation, our Community Shaliach literally brings the best of Israel to Miami through a variety of cultural, educational and family events throughout the year. The shaliach works with Federation — as well as with synagogues, Jewish day schools, JCCs, youth groups and other civic organizations — to create and promote Israel-related activities in the Miami area.
  • Diller Teen Fellows Program
Forty exceptional young adults from Miami and Yerucham are chosen to be Diller Teen Fellows and participate in a year-long program that includes skill-building, social justice activities and a joint project in both Miami and Yerucham. Our Miami Diller Fellows enjoy meaningful experiences in Israel — from staying in Bedouin tents to hiking in Masada to learning about David Ben-Gurion. They also host their Israeli peers in Miami, serving as tour guides and collaborators and becoming life-long friends.
  • Aliyah Office
If you’re looking to move to Israel, the Aliyah Office can help you with all your basic needs, including housing, job placement, Hebrew classes, educational opportunities, and familiarity with Israeli laws and customs. Learn about the services provided by the Aliyah Office by calling 305.438.4203.
