Description
Venezuelan American journalist Carla Angola who traveled to Israel with Fuente Latina in May 2022, will address the Miami Jewish community in Spanish for the first time in an exclusive event on September 14 at the Alan and Diane Lieberman Performing Arts Theater at the Michael-Ann Russell JCC.
Carla, originally from Venezuela, broadcasted her experience to her 2.8 million Instagram followers across the Spanish-speaking world during her Fuente Latina Media Fellowship to Israel in May 2022. Her news coverage of Israel sparked an uproar in the Venezuelan government. Diosdado Cabello, vice president of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela and member of parliament, accused Angola of "washing the face of the Zionist regime.” Ms. Angloa will share what she learned as a journalist about combating media stereotypes about Israel.
