Norman Lipoff

Speaking at the Professional Advisory Committee Lunch and Learn program on February 8, 2012 is Norman H. Lipoff. He is a long-time partner in the Miami law firm of Greenberg, Traurig, Hoffman, Lipoff, Rosen & Quentel, P.A. (now Greenberg Traurig). He is also a former Chairman of the Tax Section of the Florida Bar, and has written and lectured extensively on subjects related to federal taxation.

In addition to his professional endeavors, Mr. Lipoff has provided tremendous insight, exceptional knowledge and outstanding leadership to a wide range of local, national and international Jewish organizations. He is a past President and General Campaign Chairman of the Greater Miami Jewish Federation, a past Chairman of the Foundation of Jewish Philanthropies (now The Foundation of the Greater Miami Jewish Federation), and is founding Chairman of the Foundation for Jewish Renewal. He currently serves on the Federation’s Board of Directors and Executive Committee and Chairman of Philanthropic Initiatives.

For 20 years, Mr. Lipoff served as National Vice Chairman of United Jewish Appeal, and is a former National Chairman of both the United Israel Appeal and the Endowment Fund Development of the Council of Jewish Federations. He served in numerous leadership roles with the Jewish Agency for Israel (JAFI), as well as with the Florida Philharmonic Orchestra. He is a former member of the Citizens Board of the University of Miami.

Norman Lipoff has received myriad awards and honors, including the Greater Miami Jewish Federation’s Stanley C. Myers Presidents’ Leadership Award and induction into the Hall of Fame of the Commerce and Professions Division of the Federation.

In recognition of his efforts to support the University of Florida Hillel, the organization has named its new building Norman H. Lipoff Hall.
