26th Annual Ministering to the Elderly Conference

“Creating Meaning in Times of Uncertainty” is the timely topic that will be explored at the 26th Annual Ministering to the Elderly Conference on Wednesday, June 8 at Miami Jewish Health. The conference is being organized by Federation’s Mishkan Miami: The Jewish Connection for Spiritual Support, Miami Jewish Health and Jewish Community Services of South Florida, Federation’s primary human service agency. Relating directly to the widespread trauma and stress caused by COVID-19, the program will consider pathways for finding meaning, hope and resilience in times of intense uncertainty, political polarization and/or disaster. Speakers and workshops will address the various types of grief that individuals may have experienced during the past few years, and will review individual and societal strategies from psychosocial and spiritual perspectives.
