Youth Futures Program Makes a Difference for At-risk Children

Youth Futures

Federation’s overseas partner The Jewish Agency for Israel is supporting at-risk children through its Youth Futures program. The initiative partners teen mentors with at-risk children for a long-term period of learning and growth. In a one-on-one setting, teens build relationships with mentees and help them navigate challenges and celebrate achievements. The teen mentors are empowered as role models and the children flourish under the extra care and guidance. It is a win-win for everyone involved. With the difficulties of the pandemic, the program is more important than ever. Youth Futures also supports parents in participating communities by providing help to access social services, manage household budgets, be more effective caregivers and build emotionally healthy environments for their families.
