Here is an excellent opportunity to stimulate the mind, interact with others and receive a monthly stipend! Yes, you read right! It is as incredible as it sounds. From the comfort of your own home you can join our Judaic daily study program via your telephone or a computer. Two months ago, United Jewish Generations, a Chabad organization for senior citizens, started this new program and they are NOW accepting more participants. There are two tracks. The morning track studies the Talmud from 10AM - 11AM and the afternoon track studies a variety of Jewish subjects from 3PM - 4PM.

Dine in with UJG for KOSHER SENIOR NIGHT! Enjoy the luxury of restaurant dining in the safety of your own home. A contactless delivery will be arranged by a UJG volunteer on the last Wednesday of each month. The delivery will include a kosher catered dinner, allowing seniors to be treated to a delicious dinner in the safety of their own home. ATTN Retirees: Join A Jewish Academic Program and Receive a Stipend!
United Jewish Generations, a Chabad organization, is offering retirees a daily Jewish academic learning program, with a stipend! But that’s not all, computer training, computers, internet service and tech support will also be provided for those that need. Using Zoom technology, the senior population will enjoy a powerful learning, friendship, community and intellectual stimulation. Retirees can choose between a one hour/day track and a two hours/day track. Classes will be geared for beginners to intermediate level of Judaic knowledge. Program will include collaborative learning and essay writing.
“This is a perfect solution for the current state of isolation that seniors particularly are suffering from,” says Rabbi Smith, director of United Jewish Generations. “This innovative program will be called ‘Levi Yitzchok Senior Academy’ and will reach those that are ambitious to advance their wisdom with Judaic courses that are both intellectual and inspirational. Everyone should have the opportunity to know their history and heritage.”

United Jewish Generations is a non-profit organization in South Florida that specializes in servicing the senior citizen population. This Academy is one of their many programs that enhance the quality of life for older adults.

From Choir Boy to Chabad Rabbi

Listen to the exciting journey of a teenage boy who rediscovered his life. Rabbi Matisyahu Devlin, the son of a Jewish mother and devout Catholic father, will tell his tale of growing up in the Church until that fateful night in a Manhattan coffee shop. Featured on National Geographic, his story is sure to entertain and inspire from beginning to end.

Grand Klezmer & Cantorial Concert

United Jewish Generations presents a Grand Klezmer Concert featuring Klezmer, and Cantorial music. The world-renowned cantor, Bentzion Miller will thrill the audience with his brilliant tenor voice, accompanied by the New York Klezmer All-Star Band. This year’s concert will feature instrumentals by Michael Winograd, Rob Curto, Frank London and Richie Barshay.
The performance will take place at the North Miami Beach Julius Littman Performing Arts Theatre on Sunday, February 11, 2018 at 2PM. Tickets are priced from $10 and up.
